About Us

Sky View Academy strives to provide a strong foundation to encourage a lifelong love of learning.

We have a Bible story time each day where the children will learn about our amazing God. Children will pray and begin learning pledges to the flags and the Bible.

Respect is very important in our classroom; respect for yourself, friends, teachers, and materials. Children will also practice skill in independence; cleaning up, putting on jackets, helping friends, etc.

School readiness is also important. We will include daily lessons and play to help children learn colors, shapes, numbers and the alphabet.

Learning in our classroom will be hands on, child driven, and many times messy but always fun. We want children to have a desire to continue learning.

We have large and small group activities, indoor and outdoor playtime facilities, and a large free choice learning center classroom.

Children will receive breakfast and lunch as well as morning and afternoon snacks.

Facilities

We have multiple facilities at our church that are available to the children.

Mobile classrooms

This is where the children will be dropped off and enjoy some playtime as they wait for friends to arrive. Children will have rest time in the classroom after lunch. During cold and rainy weather the children will also play here while waiting to be picked up.

Free Choice Learning Centers

Classrooms are set up for children to learn independently with multiple centers and activities to help children learn in the way that they enjoy most. Centers include blocks, music, books, pretend play, creative, sensory, science, and manipulatives. Children will have large and small group times here as well.

Gym

We have many large motor toys and activities for the children to enjoy including bikes, balls, hula hoops, scooters, mats, and much more. Children are served breakfast and lunch in the gym at child-sized tables. Our commercial kitchen is inspected regularly by the Health Department.

Playground

Our playground is definitely a favorite of the children. We have swings, slides, climbing walls, and riding toys. We also enjoy riding bikes/trikes on the concrete patio as well as drawing with chalk, and water play during the warm weather.

Church

We love to visit our church sanctuary, library, our pastors, and our church staff.
