Pastor Gary Horton serves as Executive and Missions Pastor, since Oct 2016.  He grew up and was called into the ministry at Sky View. He has served Southern Baptist in various roles the past 32 years from Minister to Youth, Minister of Education, Regional Missionary with SBC of Virginia, GuideStone Benefits Director for South Carolina Baptist Convention, and Marketing Specialist with GuideStone Financial Resources. He received his associate degree from Surry Community College, bachelor’s degree from Radford University and M. Div from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has been married to Susan Newcomer Horton for the past 30+ years and they have two daughters, Laura and Audra. They have lived in NC, PA, TX and SC.
