Sky View Prayer Calendar, May 2012

Tuesday May 1-Pray for the Vacation Bible School Mini Clinic, asking God to inspire and encourage those in attendance.  Pray that our VBS would be well staffed and organized with great attendance.

Wednesday, May 2- Lift up the Word of Life groups as they meet each Wednesday night, praying that attendance would not decrease as summer approaches. Pray that all children and youth in attendance would hear and accept the salvation message.

Thursday, May 3- Pray for Wendell as he shepherds our church, praying for strength, encouragement, inspiration, and direction. Pray that he would rely on God’s strength and wisdom.

Friday, May 4- Pray for our adopted missionary family, praying for safe travel for those traveling this month. Pray for provision, direction, protection, encouragement, and inspiration for all family members. Pray that they would have opportunities to share the gospel and that many would come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior.

Saturday, May 5- Pray for our college students as they take final exams, write papers, and finish projects. Pray that they would rely on God and not become discouraged. Pray for safe travel as their school year ends.

Sunday, May 6-Lift up the Annie Armstrong Mission Offering for North America missions, praying that our church would give sacrificially. Pray for David Wheeler as he presents today’s message in each service.

Monday, May 7- Pray for our youth and children as they finalize the school year, taking SOL’s and finals.

Tuesday, May 8- Pray for the children’s ministry and Teresa as she leads it. Pray that each child would hear and accept the salvation message, and that they would grow up to be godly adults living for Christ.

Wednesday May 9-Pray for tonight’s Annie Armstrong mission meeting and for the speaker, Stephen Puckett. Pray that there would be great attendance with all committing to prayer and financial support for missions.

Thursday, May 10- Pray for the Golf Fellowship, asking God to bless this time with good weather and fun fellowship.

Friday, May 11- Pray for Susan Pryor as she speaks tonight at Pine Grove Baptist Church. Lift up the Sky View Ladies Group as they sing tonight.  Pray that all in attendance would be blessed by the message and music.

Saturday, May 12- Pray for the Young-at-Heart as they meet today, praying for a fun and safe time of fellowship.

Sunday, May 13- Pray for the mothers in our church, praying for guidance and wisdom in their role as mothers. Pray for those who are missing their mothers today.

Monday, May 14- Lift up the Pregnancy Center, praying that many donations would be collected through the Baby Bottle Campaign. Pray that all women and girls in need would seek and find help from this ministry, deciding to give birth and not abort.

Tuesday, May 15- Pray for the Men-in-Prayer as they meet each Tuesday morning, praising God for the great attendance and answered prayers. Pray that even more men would attend this precious time before God.

Wednesday, May 16- Pray for David as he shepherds the church, asking God to protect, direct, inspire and encourage him. Pray for blessings on him and his family.

Thursday, May 17- Pray for those who are suffering physically or mentally, praying for God’s healing and comfort. Pray that those in need would receive a prayer shawl, feeling the prayers and God’s love through this ministry.

Friday, May 18- Lift up the prayer ministries of the church, praying that all members of the church would commit to praying individually and corporately for the church and its members, the community, our nation, and our world.

Saturday, May 19- Pray for the Sunday school leaders as they prepare their lessons. Pray that all members would seek and find a Sunday school class where they would receive acceptance, discipleship and fellowship.

Sunday, May 20- Pray for the choir and music ministries of the church, praying that all would be blessed as the music glorifies God.  Pray for Kitty as she leads the choir and music ministry.

Monday, May 21- Lift up the physical facilities of the church, praying for God’s direction and provision of a larger building. Praise God for the growth in our church, both numerical and spiritual.

Tuesday, May 22- Pray for the Komering, our adopted people group, praying that each individual would hear and accept the salvation message. Pray that the Komering people would reach out to each other with the saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Wednesday, May 23- Pray for Sandra as she works so diligently for the church, praying that she would be renewed and inspired as she seeks to serve the Lord.

Thursday, May 24- Pray for the Free Clinic, praying for the needed funding and volunteers so that all in need would receive physical healing, as well as spiritual counseling.

Friday, May 25- Pray for the many volunteers in our church and local Christian ministries, asking for God’s blessings on them and their families.

Saturday, May 26- Pray for the youth of our church and community, praying that many would be saved and seek to live for Christ. Pray for commitments to become ministers, spiritual leaders, and missionaries.

Sunday, May 27- Pray for Vacation Bible School, as it starts tonight, praying for a fun and safe time where each child learns about God’s love and Jesus as Savior. Pray for Diane Hall as she leads Vacation Bible School.

Monday, May 28- Pray that the volunteers of VBS project God’s love to each child, leading many to salvation.  Pray for great attendance each night.

Tuesday, May 29- Pray that attendance at VBS stays high each night and that each child is reached for Christ. Pray that the volunteers stay enthusiastic and not become weary.

Wednesday, May 30- Continue to pray for VBS, praying that each child would hear and accept Jesus as Savior. Pray that everyone involved would stay safe and have a fun time as God’s Word is taught.

Thursday, May 31- Pray that during this final night of VBS, parents and family members would be reached and that souls would be saved. Pray that families would commit to living for Christ and seeking church fellowship. Pray for blessings on all the volunteers for VBS.
